The trio of Kartik Aaryan, Bhushan Kumar and Anurag Basu joined hands for Aashiqui 3 and the announcement was made last year. The makers had released a short 40 seconds announcement video which featured Arijit Singh’s song.
There were a lot of speculations that makers would rope in a new face to play the female lead alongside Kartik Aaryan. Now it has been learnt that makers have roped in the new national crush Tripti Dimri to play the female lead.
Tripti Dimri got immense appreciation for her role in Animal. Despite having a special appearance in Animal, Tripti won the hearts of the viewers. She became a nationwide sensation and came into the limelight. Her chemistry with Ranbir Kapoor became the talk of the town.
Tripti and Kartik will be sharing the screen for the first time. The fans are excited to see this fresh collaboration. Tripti is all set to rule the hearts of the viewers once again.
Kartik Aaryan has done many rom-com films in the past, but Aashiqui 3 is different. Kartik will be seen in an intense avatar.
The film will go on floors in the first quarter of 2024 and will release in 2025. Kartik and Tripti will be attending some workshops before starting the shoot.
Apart from its music, Aashiqui series is known for launching new comers. Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal both made their debut with Aashiqui. Aashiqui 2 made Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur stars overnight. For Aashiqui 3, the makers have decided to go with known faces.
Aashiqui 3 is directed by Anurag Basu. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt. The music is composed by Pritam. The film stars Kartik Aaryan and Tripti Dimri in the lead roles.
