Q] What was your 1st reaction when you were offered a film against Salman Khan?
Pooja – I was very excited because Salman Sir’s film has insane reach among the masses. As an actor what you want is that your film reaches the masses and they see you and like you. In this film the leading lady is very good and very important and the character is the life of this film. This is an opportunity which is very rare and I feel very lucky to have got this opportunity.
Q] When you signed your first film, did you think at that point of time working with Salman Khan someday?
Pooja – There are many people while growing up who think of becoming an actor. When I was small I was too shy and reserved. I didn’t know what I wanted to become when I grew up. My brother who was in 3rd standard at that time was clear that he wanted to become a doctor and a surgeon. I was feeling jealous. How can one decide what he wants to become when he grows up and has a goal in front of him? And then in life Miss India Organization saw me and I got an entry into the films. There are many people who pick acting but I think in my case my profession has chosen me. I think this is all destiny and god is very kind towards me and the universe has also been very kind to me. My 1st film was with Hrithik Roshan and now I have worked with Salman. I have worked with many big names like Allu Arjun, Thalapathy Vijay, Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan. I have worked with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan sir in an advertisement. Working with Mr. Bachchan was on my bucket list and I was very excited while collaborating with him.
Q] Your film could be an Eidi to all the people on the occasion of Eid, what would you like to say?
Pooja – Salman Sir’s many films have been released during Eid and now my film is releasing on Eid. It’s a great opportunity and I hope that people love the film and go to theaters with their family. It’s a proper masala entertainer. It has action, beautiful songs and has all the ingredients of a Salman Khan film. I hope that you love my character in the film.
Q] Can you tell more about your character in the film?
Pooja – The character of mine is loud in the film. She does everything openly. Whenever she laughs, she laughs out loud without caring about anything. My character is too cool and slightly like a mad girl who does what she wants. You can also see me imitating Salman sir in the trailer. I enjoyed doing the comedy in the film and people have praised my part.
Q] How is your reel character different from your real life?
Pooja – In real life I am completely opposite. I am quiet and if you question me then only I’ll answer. I don’t go and say something unless someone has asked me to.
Q] How is Salman Sir on the sets?
Pooja – The way in which you see Salman bhai is the same. I call him Salman sir. He is very refreshing and doesn’t have any dual personalities which is very rare and is transparent. There are many people who don’t say what is going on in their mind, but Salman sir tells you what is in his mind whether it’s good or bad and that is something I appreciate. So he is the same as he looks. He is the same with each and everyone of us. He ordered food for each and everyone. He is magnanimous. He is big hearted and he is who he is. I like to see someone like that and even I want to become like him.
