Kunal Kemmu turns 40 today. Kunal Kemmu has worked in many Bollywood films. He started his career as a child artist in 1993 with the film Sir directed by Mahesh Bhatt. He also acted in many films as a child artist like Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1993), Raja Hindustani (1996), Bhai (1997), Dushman (1998) and Zakhm (1998). His performance as a child artist in films Raja Hindustani, Zakhm and Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke was immensely praised. He is married to famous Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan. 

His first male lead role was Kalyug (2005) directed by Mohit Suri. Later on he acted in many films as a lead hero and was also a part of many multi starrers.

1] Traffic Signal (2007)

This was Kunal’s 2nd film as a lead actor after Kalyug. The film was directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. Madhur Bhandarkar beautifully presented the story of the traffic signal and the people who derive their daily livelihoods from it. Kunal delivered a powerful performance in the film. 

2] Dhol (2007)

This film was directed by Priyadarshan. Dhol was a remake of Malayalam Classic, In Harihar Nagar. Dhol had an ensemble cast of Tusshar Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Kunal Kemmu, Rajpal Yadav and Tanushree Dutta. The 4 lead actors were in a riot in this film. The film was mainly known for its comedy and performances. 

3] Golmaal 3 (2009)

Kunal Kapoor starred in one of the biggest comedy franchises of Bollywood. Golmaal is known for its characters and Kunal Kemmu as Laxman left a mark and is one of the best characters played by him in on-screen. Golmaal 3 was declared as a Blockbuster at the Box Office. 

4] Go Goa Gone (2013)

Raj and DK are the directors who always serve something unique to the audience. Go Goa Gone was the first zombie comedy film made in Bollywood. The film was critically acclaimed and was loved by many. Kunal’s comic timing in the film was superb. 

5] Golmaal Again (2017)

This film was the 4th installment of Golmaal franchise. Kunal Kemmu as Laxman once again created a riot on-screen. His comic timing and performances were widely praised. The film is Kunal Kemmu’s biggest hit at the box office till date.

Kunal Kemmu is going to make his directorial debut with the film Madgaon Express produced by Excel Entertainment (Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani). The film stars Pratik Gandhi, Divyenndu, Nora Fatehi, Upendra Limaye, Chhaya Kadam and Avinash Tiwary.
