Recently a very disturbing video has been making rounds on social media. The video is of Manipur where 2 women are being seen naked and are sexually assaulted.
This Manipur incident has led the whole nation in shock and the outrage of people is seen everywhere on social media.
The incident reportedly took place on 4th May in Kangpokpi district situated in the North-East.
‘Manipur Violence’ has been trending on social media and people are very angry as they demand the mob harassing the young girl to be punished at the earliest.
An FIR was registered for the same on 21st June. The case was registered for gang rape, murder and abduction.
It was mentioned in the FIR that, “All three women were physically forced to remove their clothes and were stripped naked in front of the mob.”
According to the complaint registered it was known that the mob first killed one man, and later forced two women to be stripped naked. A 19-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped, and her brother was killed when he tried to intervene. The women escaped afterwards.
While raising a voice on the same, many great and well-known personalities have raised their voice on this issue. From PM Narendra Modi to Bollywood Actors like Akshay Kumar, Sunny Deol, Kiara Advani, Sonu Sood, Richa Chadha, Urmila Matondkar, Anupam Kher, Kanika Dhillon, etc. have expressed their grief and views on this tragic incident.
We hope that the Government looks into the matter with utmost urgency and takes strict action against the mob who has committed such a heinous crime.
