Aditya Roy Kapoor plays the double role for the 1st time in his career. Mrunal Thakur essays the role of a cop for the 1st time in her career. We can’t wait to witness the cat and mouse game between Aditya Roy Kapur and Mrunal Thakur. The film also stars Ronit Bose Roy. Gumraah is a remake of critically acclaimed Tamil film Thadam. The thriller is all set to release on 7th April. The film is directed by debutant Vardhan Ketkar.

2) August 16 1947

August 16 1947 tells an untold story of the pre-independence era of a man from a small village who stands for his people against the British Empire. It’s a story which no one dared to tell and takes us back to the past. The film is a Pan India film originally shot in Tamil. The film will also be released in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and English. The film is produced by A. R. Murugadoss (Ghajini and Holiday fame). The film is all set to release on 7th April.

3) Shaakuntalam

Shaakuntalam is a Pan India film originally shot in Telugu. The film is dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. The film stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Dev Mohan in the lead roles. The film is an epic love story of Shakuntala and Lord Dushyanth from Mahabharata. The film is made on a budget of 80 crores. The film will also be released in 3D. The film is all set to release on 14th April.

4) Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan

Salman Khan and Eid has been a blockbuster combo. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is Salman’s first theatrical release in a lead role post pandemic. There’s a lot of anticipation among the audience for this biggie. The film has a huge ensemble cast of Venkatesh Daggubati, Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Pallak Tiwari amongst others. The film is directed by Farhad Samji. The film has all the ingredients of a Salman Khan film like Family Drama, Romance, Action and Comedy. The film is all set to release on 21st April.

5) Ponniyin Selvan 2

Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan 2 is a sequel to Ponniyin Selvan. Ponniyin Selvan was a huge hit at the Box Office. It’s based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s novel of the same name. The film stars Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha amongst others. The film is all set to release on 28th April.
