The buzz around pickleball in India just got louder! The World Pickleball League (WPL), in collaboration with the Bengaluru Jawans franchise and the Karnataka State Pickleball Association (KSPA), has officially announced the Bengaluru Open 2025, the third stop on the WPL’s inaugural tour.
Marking a milestone moment for Indian pickleball, the Bengaluru Open 2025 welcomes players, fans, and sports enthusiasts for an exhilarating three-day event that celebrates competition, community, and inclusivity in equal measure.

Founded by Arjuna Awardee Gaurav Natekar and Arati Ponnappa Natekar, the World Pickleball League is India’s first-ever professional pickleball platform, dedicated to taking the fast-growing global sport to new heights in the country.
Leading this movement is the Bengaluru Jawans, reigning champions of WPL Season 1, who are set to host this landmark tournament. The franchise is co-owned by acclaimed filmmaker Atlee and Priya Atlee, along with Muhammad Jameel, Founder and CEO of NJ Macson.
Renowned for his cinematic brilliance, Atlee is now channeling his creative passion into sports, backing the growth of pickleball and nurturing grassroots talent. His involvement with Bengaluru Jawans reflects his commitment to fostering a thriving sports culture that empowers young athletes and drives India’s sporting future.

The Bengaluru Open 2025 is shaping up to be a spectacular sporting festival featuring:
Over 250 players from across India and overseas, including top international talent.
More than 500 matches across multiple competitive categories.
Inclusive formats catering to all age groups, from juniors to veterans (50+).
The tournament will be inaugurated by the founders of the World Pickleball League and owners of Bengaluru Jawans, alongside senior representatives of the Karnataka State Pickleball Association.
