Dilip Kumar

Dilip Kumar had directed the film Dil Dia Dard Lia along with Abdur Rashid Kardar. The romantic film was released in 1966. Dilip Kumar was uncredited as director. The film also had Waheeda Rehman in the lead role. The film was Dilip Kumar’s 1st outright flop in 15 years at the Box Office.

Ajay Devgn

This is not the first time Ajay Devgn will be directing a film. Ajay Devgn made his directorial debut in 2008 with the film U Me Aur Hum. The film had Kajol as the leading lady. The romantic drama was a flop at the Box Office.

Ajay Devgn returned to the direction in 2016 with the big budget action film Shivaay. Shivaay faced a clash with Karan Johar’s directorial Ae Dil Hai Mushkil at the Box Office and didn’t make much money at the Box Office. 

Last year Ajay Devgn directed the thriller Runway 34. Runway 34 also had Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet in the lead roles along with Boman Irani. The film was a disaster at the Box Office. This film was better quality wise than Ajay’s previous 2 releases.

Ajay Devgn has never tasted success at the Box Office as a director. With his upcoming biggie releasing this week, Ajay Devgn is likely to get his first hit as a director. Bholaa is a Hindi adaptation of Tamil flick Kaithi which was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Dharmendra Sharma was going to helm this project earlier. Bholaa also stars Tabu in the lead role along with Deepak Dobriyal, Sanjay Mishra, Gajraj Rao, Vineet Kumar and Amala Paul. The film is all set to release on 30th March.

Sunny Deol

Sunny Deol made his directorial debut in 1999 with Dillagi. Dillagi also had Bobby Deol and Urmila Matondkar in the lead roles. Sunny Deol replaced Gurinder Chadha as the director. The film flopped at the Box Office. 

In 2016, Sunny Deol directed his second film Ghayal Once Again. Ghayal Once Again was a sequel to Sunny Deol’s Blockbuster Ghayal (1990) directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The film flopped at the Box Office. 

He also directed his son Karan Deol in Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas in 2019. The film was a disaster at the Box Office.

Shreyas Talpade 

Shreyas Talpade directed Poster Boys in 2017. The film was a remake of Marathi Hit film Poshter Boyz (2014). The film is based on vasectomy. It also stars Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol in the lead roles. The film did not work at the Box Office.
