Rani Mukerji turns 45 today. Rani Mukerji is one of the most popular Bollywood actresses. She is known for delivering powerful and strong performances in her films. She was one of the highest paid actresses in the 2000s. She married the famous film producer Aditya Chopra (Yash Raj Films) in 2014.

Rani Mukerji made her Bollywood Debut with the film Raja Ki Ayegi Baraat in 1996. Her 2nd film Ghulam (1998) opposite Aamir Khan was successful at the Box Office. Aati Kya Khandala song from Ghulam made her popular. In the same year Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was released and it boosted her popularity. Yuva, which was directed by Mani Ratnam, won her the Filmfare Award For Best Supporting Actress. Hum Tum won her 1st Filmfare Award For Best Actress. Veer-Zaara gave her critical and commercial success worldwide.

In 2005, she also had Bunty aur Babli which was a commercial success. In 2006, she collaborated with Karan Johar for Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna which was a Global Box Office success. 

In 2011, she appeared alongside Vidya Balan in hard-hitting murder mystery No One Killed Jessica. It was a treat for movie lovers to see 2 powerful actresses together in 1 film. In 2012, she appeared in Talaash which was the highest grossing suspense thriller film until Drishyam 2 (2022) surpassed it. In 2014, she appeared in the women centric film Mardaani and her role of lady police officer was well received. In 2018, Hichki was released which earned her performance critical acclaim. In 2019, Mardaani was released and Rani’s performance was once again applauded. Rani has delivered a strong performance in her recent release, Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway.
