In spite of recent reports of a supposed feud between Diljit Dosanjh and T-Series, the production giant in music and films has set all rumors to rest, affirming that it has a very strong and respectable working relationship with the actor-singer. The rumors had been derived from Diljit’s acting stint in Sardaar Ji 3 with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, which was only released abroad, creating a rift of displeasure from the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE). This led to widespread speculations that Bhushan Kumar and T-Series had promised the federation that they would never again be working with Diljit after Border 2.
But a recent Hindustan Times report puts things in perspective. Sources from T-Series refuted the reports of any conflict, terming the rumors as “completely baseless.” They reaffirmed that T-Series and Diljit Dosanjh still enjoy a robust professional relationship and are eagerly anticipating more future collaborations. The insider added that the collaboration between the two has always been based on mutual respect and there have been no decisions to not work with the actor in future projects.
The Diljit controversy worsened when FWICE issued a ban on him for collaborating with a Pakistani artiste due to the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan. In this midst of controversy, it is said that Bhushan Kumar approached FWICE so that the completion of Border 2 could be permitted since most of Diljit’s work had already been done. The federation consented to granting an exception to the film but refused to relent on its blanket ban of the actor. This saw media reports stating that Bhushan Kumar had vowed not to work with Diljit anymore.
Denying these assertions, T-Series sources explained that there is no such guarantee and that Diljit is still a valuable artist for them. They also disclosed that while Border 2 is for now the priority, upcoming titles with Diljit are very much on the cards. The move is a welcome relief for Diljit’s fans, who have earned him a top reputation not only in Punjabi film but also in Bollywood, due to his skill, diversity, and increasing international fan base.
In short, while spats continue to rage, T-Series has set it in motion that their professional relationship with Diljit Dosanjh is as good as ever and in top shape, with much to look forward to in terms of more collaborations.
