When asked about the purpose of her visit and her plans while in India, Somy Ali said, “I intend to celebrate my birthday in Mumbai and meet my contemporaries, if they have the time and are up for it. A lot of time has passed since I last met any of them, and I would love for this to happen. I will also be continuing my NGO, No More Tears, from there to explore how I can benefit the organization or add layers to it through my travels. One never knows what may come of it—I’m going with a clean, blank slate, and whatever happens will only add to my bank of memories.”
She added by saying, “I intend to start my own talk show soon, so I’m hoping to build a few bonds with my old friends and get them involved in the show in some capacity. My dreams are unlimited! Let’s see how India accepts me once again. It’s always been a country I’ve loved, and I hope this visit will be memorable in many happy ways. Additionally, I have a production house, and I want to create some content while shooting in rural areas, so I need to narrow down those locations and specifics. God willing, it will be a beautiful trip.”
