The makers of Bigg Boss 17 decided to bring many famous personalities of India under one roof. The season was a roller-coaster ride of emotions. The season ended up with a bang.
Out of all the contestants, Ankita Lokhande was the biggest and most popular name. Ankita has been a household name after the release of evergreen TV serial Pavitra Rishta. Ankita was also the ex-girlfriend of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Ankita has also done a couple of Bollywood films. Ankita’s fan following and popularity was unmatchable.
Ankita’s entry in top 5 was not shocking, as she was one of the favorites to lift the trophy, but the shocking part was Ankita ending up her journey at no. 4.
Munawar Faruqui emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss 17. Abhishek Kumar ended up as the runner-up, Mannara Chopra ended up at no. 3, Ankita Lokhande ended up at no. 4 and Arun Mashettey ended his journey at no. 5.
We at Film Window got a chance to do an exclusive interview with Abhishek Kumar.
We asked Abhishek about Ankita Lokhande. Abhishek revealed that he would like to be called brother-in-law of Ankita, rather than being a brother. He also said that Ankita Lokhande is such a big name, that she deserved to be in the top 2.
Q] Ankita addressed you as brother-in-law and was upset with you, so did you have any word with her after coming out of the house?
Ans – No I haven’t had a word with her yet. She called me brother and I was like why should I become her brother, then she called me brother-in-law which was better than being a brother. I noticed that she did not give any interviews after the finals because maybe she would get upset. Ankita Lokhande is a very big name and not finishing in top 3 really hurts.
Q] When the envelope task was going on, did you fear that instead of a big name like Ankita Lokhande, you could have got eliminated?
Ans – I had fear, but my inner instinct said that I would survive. Arun Mashettey came into the top 5, as he survived because of the votes. Arun’s entry in the top 5 was unexpected. It was very hard to predict who would be eliminated first, but I was extremely positive that I was going to survive.
