Elvish Yadav shot to fame overnight by winning the Bigg Boss OTT 2 trophy and building a massive social media fan base. However, he’s now facing accusations of hosting parties where snake venom was present.
In Noida, five individuals were arrested for allegedly supplying snakes and their venom at these parties, which were purportedly organized by the social media sensation Elvish Yadav. These gatherings took place at different farmhouses in and around Delhi, where Elvish Yadav used the snakes for creating content on YouTube and Instagram. Allegedly, attendees of these parties, including foreign nationals, consumed the snake venom.
An FIR listed six people, including Elvish Yadav, with five of them in custody at present, while Elvish Yadav remains unarrested. Authorities confiscated nine snakes, including five cobras, and snake venom from the accused, which were then handed over to the Forest Department.
The accused were reportedly capturing snakes from various locations in the region, extracting their venom, and selling it at a high price for use at these parties, where they generated substantial income. The Noida police conducted these arrests after raiding a rave party in Noida’s Sector 51 following a complaint from an animal welfare NGO called PFA, led by Maneka Gandhi from the BJP.
Maneka Gandhi has demanded the immediate arrest of Elvish Yadav and labeled the situation as a grade-I crime, which carries a potential seven-year jail sentence. In response, Elvish Yadav refuted all charges, claiming they are false and expressed willingness to cooperate with the police during their investigation. He stated in a video on social media that he woke up to reports of his arrest and being caught with intoxicating substances, emphasizing that all these reports and charges against him are unfounded.
