Ektaa Kapoor’s latest film Thank You For Coming was released yesterday. The film was based on the subject of orgasm and had a taboo theme. The film had a high end multiplex audience and matured cinema viewers as their target audiences.
The film has been rated ‘A’ for its strong content. The film had a limited release in India. The film was released on 550 screens in India and over 250 screens overseas.
Thank You For Coming has opened on a disastrous note. The film had managed to collect only 1.06 cr on its opening day at the Box Office.
Thank You For Coming faced a clash from Rajshri Productions’ Dono and Akshay Kumar’s Mission Raniganj at the Box Office.
All the 3 films have underperformed at the Box Office. Thank You For Coming will struggle due to its poor content.
Thank You For Coming is a film which is not suitable for a theatrical audience, it is mainly suitable for OTT platforms.
The film has not appealed to its target audience and negative WOM has come into the picture. The film will find it very difficult to go past the 10 cr mark in its lifetime.
Ektaa Kapoor’s Veere Di Wedding which had a similar theme compared to Thank You For Coming, opened in double digits at the Box Office. VDW collected 10.7 cr on its opening day and it looks like TYFC will struggle to collect these numbers in its lifetime.
Veere Di Wedding had Kareena Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor as the leading ladies.
Thank You For Coming is all set to become a huge disaster at the Box Office.
