After the release of The Family Man, Priya Mani received many offers in Bollywood. Her recent Bollywood film Maidaan was released during Eid festival. Priya Mani played the role of Ajay Devgn’s wife in the film.
Maidaan is the biopic of a football coach Syed Abdul Rahim who took Indian football to heights. Maidaan tells the story of the golden era of Indian Football from 1952 to 1962. Priya Mani’s portrayal of Saira was widely appreciated by the viewers.
2024 has turned out to be a great year for Priya Mani, as her 2 Bollywood releases, Article 370 and Maidaan have been loved by the audience.
We at Film Window got a chance to do an exclusive interview with Priya Mani.
We asked her about Ajay Devgn and Maidaan, so have a look below at what she has to say about it.
Q] How was your experience while working with Ajay Devgn in Maidaan?
Ans – I had a great time working with all of them. I have learnt different things from different people. Everyone’s approach to their character is different. My more interaction with Ajay sir happened during IPL, when we went to promote Maidaan. During the shoot, he was enquiring mostly about the South Industry, work pattern of South Industry. He also asked me about particular directors. When we went to the Star Sports office to promote IPL, I saw the other side of Ajay sir, the fun side. I have seen Ajay sir cracking jokes and doing pranks on camera. He is a very intense person. He doesn’t need to speak, his eyes speak volume, his expressions, his body language speaks volume and that itself conveys what he wants to.
