Rajkumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan’s emotional drama ‘Dunki’ was released on 21st January. Dunki is Rajkumar Hirani’s 3rd Christmas release after 3 Idiots and PK. 3 Idiots and PK both turned out to be All Time Grosser and opened 200 cr and 300 cr clubs for Bollywood respectively.

Dunki is Rajkumar Hirani’s weakest film till date. The film did not match the level of Rajkumar Hirani’s filmmaking style and turned out to be an epic disappointment for the viewers.

Dunki had opened to lower numbers than its actual potential. The negative and mixed WOM came into the picture and affected the biz of Dunki. Dunki got the benefit of extended weekend to post a respectable total in its first 5 days.

The Christmas Holiday fell on the Day 5. Dunki collected cr 24.32 cr nett on its 5th day. The 5 day collection of Dunki stands at 129.95 cr nett.

Dunki has recorded the 5th biggest Christmas Day of all time in Bollywood. Aamir Khan’s Dangal which was released 7 years ago is on the top of the list. If Dunki would have been a trademark Hirani classic, it would have earned the top spot.

Dunki has failed to reap the benefit of Christmas Holiday due to its poor content. Where there was a potential of collecting more than 55 crores on Christmas Day, Dunki has not even even collected half of it.
