Charlie and The Chocolate Factory is a popular story which everyone would have heard of. There have been two films in Hollywood which have been made on this story. The first adaptation came in 1971 which was titled as Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory and the second film came in 2005 which was titled Charlie and The Chocolate Factory featuring Johnny Depp in it. Paul King’s Wonka is another feel good film based on the story of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory that you will fall in love with instantly.
Wonka is a fun ride which will make you forget all your problems for those 2 hours. The film is full of joyous moments which will keep you entertained from the very first scene till the end credits.

Timothèe Chalamet plays the lead role of Wonka in the film. He is fabulous and convinces the audience very easily with his acting. He will make people cheer for him in each and every scene. He makes the atmosphere more energetic with his magical performance.
Calah Lane as Noodle will win your hearts. Each and everyone of us needs a friend like Noodle who supports us in every step of our lives. People will equally enjoy her performance as noodle as much as they love to eat noodles.
Hugh Grant as The Oompa Loompa appears for a very limited time but creates havoc with his performance.
The duo of Olivia Colman and Tom Davis play the negative characters but will get a positive response from the audience. Their little chemistry is very much lovable. Each and every evil act by this duo just adds joy to this lovely narrative.
Paterson Joseph, Matt Lucas and Mathew Baynton play the competitors of Willy Wonka in the film. All 3 of them are fantastic in their dark roles. A chocolate should have a wrapper or something to attract the attention of the consumers and this trio have done the same thing with their performance.
Rowan Atkinson aka Mr. Bean plays the role of Father Julius in Wonka and is a complete riot.
The supporting cast of Rakhee Thakrar, Natash Rothwell, Jim Carter, Rich Fulcher, Keegan-Michael Key, Sally Hawkins and Rowan Atkinson serve the audience with various flavors of chocolate with their performances.

Wonka is a musical film and has musical dialogues which are easily understandable. The music is foot tapping and dialogues have a proper rhyme with each other. All the musical dialogues are like dry fruits which make this chocolate tastier.
The direction of Paul King is simply amazing. He has created a different atmosphere for the viewers in Wonka. He has made a film which will make viewers want for more. The direction is mature and Paul has given full justice to the iconic story of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. Paul has brought all the nostalgia once again on the big screen.
Wonka has top class VFX which is eye pleasing. The visual effects offer a delicious treat to all the viewers. These effects look larger than life on-screen and provide a rich cinematic experience.
Wonka has a very fast paced screenplay. If the pace of the screenplay has to be explained, we can say that the film gets over in just the blink of an eye. The sad part is that film ends very quickly and so does the fun. The screenplay doesn’t has a single dull moment.

The writing of Wonka is fabulous. The writers have perfectly created tension and have kept many surprises for the audience. The writing is simple but the director’s treatment is extraordinary.
Wonka is a film which has certain limitations and it ends up just being a good film and not a great one. There is a dialogue in the film which says, ‘A good chocolate should always be simple’ and that is what the makers of Wonka have created. The story doesn’t offer anything new to those who have already read about it or have seen it. There are some scenes which seem to be unnecessarily added, but it doesn’t hurt the narrative instead these unnecessarily added scenes provide a big size entertainment.
The makers will leave the audience craving for chocolates while watching the film. Each and every scene involving chocolate will make the audience’s mouth water.
Overall Wonka is a delicious chocolate which should be tasted once. Wonka is like a painkiller medicine where the audience will forget all their problems and pain for those 2 hours and will get a high dose of entertainment. There is one dialogue which says, ‘You’ve never had a chocolate like this’ and makers assure people that this will be the most beautiful 2 hours of their life. Wonka should not be missed at any cost.
