Tiger franchise is amongst one of the most popular franchises in Bollywood. Though the Spy Universe was officially announced with Pathaan, Ek Tha Tiger was the first film in the Spy Universe.
Tiger has been one of the most iconic characters for Salman Khan. Ek Tha Tiger turned out to be a huge blockbuster at the Box Office.
The success of Ek Tha Tiger inspired makers to make a sequel to it. The sequel ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ proved to be a bigger blockbuster than Ek Tha Tiger. Tiger Zinda Hai is the highest grossing film ever for Salman Khan.
Tiger 3 was released this year during Diwali. Though it did not go past the numbers of Tiger Zinda Hai, it emerged as the biggest Diwali hit of all time for Bollywood.
The directors of all the parts in the Tiger series have been different. Ek Tha Tiger was directed by Kabir Khan. Tiger Zinda Hai was directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Tiger 3 is directed by Maneesh Sharma.
In an exclusive interview with us, Salman Khan was asked about the differences which he saw in all the 3 directors. While speaking about Kabir, Ali and Maneesh, Salman said, “All the 3 of them have given their best. The credit goes to Kabir, as Ek Tha Tiger was a huge success at the Box Office. The success of the first part inspired me to make a sequel. Ali was the director of Tiger Zinda Hai. Ali took the second part above the first one. The second part was made because the first one was successful. And now Maneesh has made one of the best films in the Tiger series.”
Salman Khan collaborated twice with Kabir Khan after Ek Tha Tiger. The duo worked on Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Tubelight. Bajrangi Bhaijaan is Salman Khan’s best film of this millennium.
Just like Kabir, Salman has also done 3 films with Ali including Tiger Zinda Hai. Ali and Salman collaborated for Sultan and Bharat. Sultan was also produced by YRF and turned out to be a huge blockbuster.
