Akshay already had 2 releases in 2023. He appeared in Selfiee and OMG 2. He is gearing up for his 3rd release Mission Raniganj, which is all set to release this week. 

Akshay Kumar is on a roll in 2024. He has a total of 6 (including 1 cameo) releases in 2024. 

Akshay Kumar has booked all the major festivals i.e. Eid, Diwali and Christmas for his films. After booking these major holidays, Akshay has booked Gandhi Jayanti holiday for his new film titled Sky Force.

1] Soorarai Pottru Remake 

Akshay’s first release of 2024 marks the remake of Tamil classic Soorarai Pottru. Soorarai Pottru was an emotional and inspiring tale of a young man from a remote area who dreams to launch his own airline service. The film is directed by Sudha Kongara who also directed the original. Suriya who played the lead role in the original is one of the producers of the film. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan in the lead roles. The film is all set to release on 16th February 2024.

2] Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

Akshay Kumar will be seen collaborating with Tiger Shroff for the first time in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. This film will be a visual treat for all the action lovers. Akshay has booked the Eid holiday for this biggie. The film is all set to release on 11th April. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan can create havoc at the Box Office, if it connects well with the audience.

3] Sky Force 

October 2nd which we all know as Gandhi Jayanti is also the birth date of our former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, and the film is set during his tenure. Sky Force is an untold true story that captures the bravery, the emotion, the patriotism of all those men in uniform involved in India’s first and deadliest airstrike at a time against Pakistan, against all odds. Sky Force is all set to release on 2nd October.

4] Housefull 5

Akshay Kumar will be back with the 5th installment of Housefull franchise. Housefull is one of the most successful franchises in Bollywood. Housefull franchise is known for having a crazier cast. Akshay Kumar has booked the Diwali holiday for Housefull 5. Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh have been confirmed by the makers as the lead actors. It has also been learnt that Pooja Hegde, Kriti Sanon, John Abraham, Nora Fatehi, Sonakshi Sinha, Bobby Deol, Dharmendra, Jacqueline Fernandez and Sanjay Dutt will be seen in the film. The film will be directed by Tarun Mansukhani. The film will hit the cinemas from 1st November.

5] Welcome To The Jungle

After starring in Housefull 5, Akshay Kumar will be seen in the 3rd installment of Welcome franchise. The 3rd film in the Welcome series is titled Welcome To The Jungle. Welcome To The Jungle has a huge stellar cast which includes Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Rahul Dev, Mukesh Tiwari, Sharib Hashmi, Inaamulhaq, Zakir Hussain and Yashpal Sharma. Akshay has booked the Christmas holiday for Welcome 3. The film is all set to hit the cinemas from 20th December.

Akshay will have a cameo in Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again, which is all set to release on Independence Day. Akshay Kumar will be reprising his role as Sooryavanshi. Akshay is a part of Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe.
