OMG is a classic film and has a seperate fan base. The film was based on the concept of an atheist named Kanji Lalji Mehta (Paresh Rawal) vs God (Akshay Kumar). OMG 2 is based on the believer of God (Pankaj Tripathi) and Akshay Kumar portrays the role of Lord Shiva.
OMG 2 teaser gives a glimpse of a believer of God who prays to God to be with him and his family during tough times.
Pankaj Tripathi replaces Paresh Rawal in the sequel. Pankaj Tripathi is a wonderful actor and this seems like a tailor made role for him.

The teaser doesn’t reveal much and gives us a glimpse into the world of Kanti Sharan Mudgal (Pankaj Tripathi). Kanti Sharan is a hard-core devotee of Lord Shiva.
Will the makers be successful in creating the same magic which OMG had created. We will have to wait.
Yami Gautam plays the role of a lawyer in the film. OMG 2 will also have the reference of court just like the prequel.
According to reports, OMG is based on the Indian Education system which deals with topics such as admission and exams pressure.
OMG 2 is all set to release on 11th August and will clash with Gadar 2 at the Box Office. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in the lead roles.
OMG 2 can do wonders at the Box Office, if the content clicks with the audience. The film should be high on emotions which can connect with the family audience. The film should have a hard-hitting and social message like the prequel.
