The second season of Bigg Boss OTT is all set to stream from tomorrow. There is a huge excitement and anticipation among the fans for the 2nd season.
The second season looks much bigger, exciting and entertaining then the previous season. The season 1 was hosted by Karan Johar and for the second season makers have gone a step higher and have got Salman Khan on board as a host.
There was an event held at Mumbai today, one day before the release at Film City. Salman Khan was present at the event. He made a grand entry on a special double decker bigg boss bus and was seen in an orange shirt, denim jeans and cool sunglasses.
Salman while speaking about the Bigg Boss OTT said, “I’ve always looked forward to Bigg Boss and this is the first time I’m hosting it on OTT. Ab dekhte hain kya hota hai. I hope the show is not too much uncensored or unfiltered. Agar ho raha hoga toh I will control everything on my own. I feel the show should not go against our Indian culture and should follow it. That’s the reason I’m a part of it. Also, Karan Johar and Farah Khan were not available to host the show, they were very busy. Hence, I had to do the OTT version. Main OTT par bhi aisa kuch hone nahi dunga which is against our culture. I won’t let it happen.”
Salman Khan also spoke about the phone calls he gets before Bigg Boss. He said, “I get so many calls when I host Bigg Boss that I get irritated and switch off my phone. Before every season I get calls from a lot of people requesting me to take them to Bigg Boss as the contestant, then there are calls from their friends, family members. Be it politicians, actors or from any other walk of life, I get calls from everyone saying that Bigg Boss is a great platform for their career and they would love to be a part of the show. But they don’t understand this decision is not in my hands but it is in Sheetal, Manisha and Endemol and COLORS hands. Many of them even get upset with me that Salman Khan Ek call kar dega toh kaam ho jaayega but Salman Khan doesn’t interfere in this decision and the channel and the production house takes care of everything. They have made this rule that they don’t take my recommendation. Once I had requested them to cast someone and they did not, so after that I stopped recommending. In fact, during one season I recommended someone and they themselves called that person and got him on board.”
We at Film Window asked Salman Khan about the person which he recommended for Bigg Boss, to which he replied by saying, “One of the people who I knew but was not aware that he is going to be a part of the show was Nikitin. I met him on the stage of Bigg Boss 6. Unka bus chalta toh Woh Aaj tak ghar mein reh rahe hote.”
He further added by saying, “I love this show and I get a lot to learn from it and that’s why I am doing it. This show has benefitted many people. The ones who have joined the show he/she, the condition in which they have come, their career has gone 10 folds up than what they were.”
