A new poster of OMG 2 was announced recently with a release date on it. OMG 2 is all set to clash with Gadar 2 at the Box Office on the Independence Day Weekend. This is going to be a clash of the sequels.
Earlier there was a 4 way clash at the Box Office on the Independence Day Weekend. The 4 films which were going to clash at the Box Office were Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, John Abraham’s Tariq and Vivek Agnihotri’s The Vaccine War. John Abraham’s Tariq got postponed and the new release date is not announced yet. The makers of The Vaccine War have also postponed their film due to pending post production work. It is learned that the makers are giving finishing touches to the film and will shoot some pending scenes. The film will be mostly released during Dussehra later this year. Sandeppy Reddy Vanga’s gangster biggie Animal will now release on a new date. The film has Ranbir Kapoor in a never seen before avatar.
Gadar 2 is the sequel of Gadar, which is the biggest blockbuster of this millennium in Bollywood. Gadar (2001) had also faced a clash at the Box Office with the Classic film Lagaan. Despite facing a clash, Gadar emerged as an All Time Blockbuster and recorded 5 cr footfalls which is still a record in this millennium.
Director Anil Sharma has a huge responsibility on his shoulders. Making a sequel of a blockbuster film is always difficult. The sequel should be made in a gap of 3 to 5 years and nor more than that. The sequel to Gadar is all set to release after 22 years. We just hope for the best. Gadar 2 is set 17 years after the first part has ended. This time, the dramatic goings-on take place in Lahore in 1971. The film stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma in the lead roles. Gadar is re-released in cinemas from today.
OMG 2 is a sequel to the Classic film Oh My God (OMG). OMG was successful at the Box Office and was highly acclaimed. The film collected 81 crores at the Box Office and was declared a Super-Hit. The film was a movie adaptation of Umesh Shukla and Paresh Rawal’s own Gujarati play Kanji Virudh Kanji. The story revolves around a shop owner, whose shop is destroyed by an earthquake and because of this he files a case against god. It was a treat to watch Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal in one film. OMG was a powerful and hard-hitting film with a perfect dose of entertainment.
OMG 2 is said to be based on the Indian Education System. The film will explore the topics such as college admissions and the pressure on students for the exams. OMG 2 is directed by Amit Rai. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in the lead roles.
The poster with the release date was announced where we can see Akshay reprising the role of Lord Shiva. Akshay’s look has raised our excitement level for the film.
