The Kerala Story has taken the Box Office by a storm. The film has become a nationwide sensation and is a riot on the Box Office. The Kerala Story is the only priority of cine goers. Made on a limited budget of 25 crores, The Kerala Story has collected 5 times more than the budget and is still going strong. The Kerala Story has no big stars, no big production value, no commercial elements but strong and bold content which has converted into high footfalls. The controversial subject has created a huge ground level and social media buzz.
The Kerala Story had a bumper opening at the Box Office by collecting 8.03 cr. The 1st weekend was 35.65 cr. The film trended well over weekdays and each and every passing the collections only grew and didn’t decline which is a rare case. The film collected 81.14 crores in week 1.
The film collected 12.35 cr on 2nd Friday. 2nd Saturday was in the range of 19.50 cr and saw a growth of around 58% from the previous day. Sunday saw the highest single day collections for the film. On Sunday the film collected 23.75 cr. The 2nd weekend collections were in the range of 55.60 cr.
The 1st weekend collections were in the range of 35.65 cr and 2nd weekend had collected 20 crores more than the 1st weekend. The film has seen an insane trending at the Box Office .
The Kerala Story has been a historical blockbuster and will be regarded as one of the Biggest Blockbusters in the History of Indian Cinema. The film is all set to enter the 200 cr club in the coming days. There’s a high possibility of even scoring 250 or maybe 300.
The film faced competition from Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bhumi Pednekar’s Afwaah. Afwaah was a total washout at the Box Office as it was not a film which was meant for the Box Office. On 12th May, Bollywood had 3 small releases IB 71, Chatrapathi and Music School. All these films were a total washout at the Box Office. As there is no big film arriving in this month, The Kerala Story can do more wonders at the Box Office. The next big budget film is Adipurush which will directly release on 16th June. On 2nd June, Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan starrer Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is going to release in cinemas.
