Baseer Ali has shared his thoughts on the much discussed face off between Prince Narula and Elvish Yadav in MTV Roadies XX. In a conversation with Heena Kumawat, the reality television star spoke about watching the season unfold and admitted that he thoroughly enjoyed the competition between the two gang leaders. While he appreciated the intensity of their face off, Baseer made it clear that his loyalty has always remained with Prince, having been associated with his gang across multiple seasons of the show.

Talking about his experience of watching the latest season, Baseer revealed that he was initially unsure about how things would turn out. However, the competition eventually turned out to be much more entertaining than he had anticipated. He also explained why seeing someone challenge Prince was interesting for him, considering his long association with the latter on the show.

He said, “I, I toh like, I was, I was, jab shuru hua season, toh season shuru hone se pehle I was like, pata nahi kya hoga, kaise hoga. But season dekhne ke baad itna maza aaya. Toh I am always gang Prince, right? I have been a gang member of Prince. I have played with him. I have done so many seasons supporting Gang Prince. Toh obviously to see somebody stand up against Gang Prince, I was like, okay, competition. Let’s see what this person has to bring. But the competition was so fun. It was so neck to neck, and both of these people from North India going head to head, Prince bhai having his own fandom, Elvish having his own fandom.“

Baseer further pointed out that Prince and Elvish belong to different generations of entertainers, with Prince having established himself in reality television long before several of today’s popular creators entered the scene. According to Baseer, Prince had already built a name for himself when he and many of his contemporaries were still growing up. He also mentioned how the changing entertainment landscape makes the comparison between the two stars different from a conventional rivalry.

Explaining his perspective, Baseer said, “Prince bhai jab star the, jab hum chaddi pehen ke na bahar cricket khel rahe hote the, Prince bhai jab phaad rahe the TV pe. Chahe woh main ho, chahe Malhan ho, chahe Elvish ho, chahe humare saath ke jitne bhi log hain, hum bachche the jab Prince bhai literally TV pe ye sab kar rahe the. Hum koi bhi famous nahi the. Hum mein se koi famous nahi tha. Prince ka naam chal chuka tha. Aaj agar hum hain unke saath compete kar rahe, toh it’s different. It’s different because woh waqt ki baat hai, daur ki baat hai, zamaane ki baat hai.“

Prince and Elvish’s rivalry became one of the major talking points of Roadies XX, with the two gang leaders frequently disagreeing during the competition. Their differences became particularly evident during a task in which Elvish joined hands with Rhea Chakraborty while bidding for a contestant whom Prince wanted in his gang. The disagreement escalated into a heated exchange, with both personalities making personal remarks. Their confrontation became even more intense during the grand finale, when the two were involved in another argument that required intervention. <Cite refs={[“turn664001search6″,”turn664001search4″,”turn664001news14”]}/>

Despite the on screen tension, Prince and Elvish later addressed speculation about their equation and indicated that they had sorted out their differences. Their rivalry, however, continued to attract attention among fans, given their respective popularity and strong fan bases. <Cite refs={[“turn664001search7″,”turn664001search8”]}/>

During the conversation, Baseer also spoke positively about his experience with Elvish and wished him well for his upcoming film projects. He acknowledged the creator’s enormous online following and reacted to the humorous comparisons being made on the internet about the Roadies contestants. Baseer said, “Toh yeah, I had a great time. Elvish ke saath bhi, I think he is busy with movies. Yeah, and all the best to him, and I hope ki uski movies bhi badhiya karein. And bahut saari funny cheezein sun raha hoon. Like internet pe I saw something like, ‘Elvish bhai nahi aaye toh Elvish bhai ke budget mein Basir, Bani aur Malhan aa gaye hain.’ Stuff like that. So it’s always fun to see this kind of stuff. Elvish ka obviously it’s a crazy audience, toh kahin na kahin aisi baatein toh sunne milengi hi humko.“

Baseer’s remarks offer an interesting perspective on the rivalry, especially considering his own history with Prince and his experience in the reality television space. While he continues to root for Prince, his comments also reflect his appreciation for the competition Elvish brought to the season.
