Imam Siddique has reacted strongly after Salman Khan brought up his name while reprimanding Bigg Boss 20 contestant Qazi Touqeer over his conduct with Kanika Manna. The former Bigg Boss contestant has now penned an open letter addressed to the show’s host, objecting to the manner in which his stint on the reality show was referenced.
Salman Khan is currently hosting Bigg Boss 20, and during Saturday’s Weekend Ka Vaar episode, he was seen schooling Qazi over his behaviour towards Kanika. While explaining his point to Qazi, Salman referred to Imam Siddique and suggested that he too had entered the show with an intention to trouble other contestants. The reference has now prompted a reaction from Imam, who was a controversial contestant during Bigg Boss Season 6 and famously told Salman, “Salman Bhai, time out.”
Imam shared a clip from the recent episode on Instagram and strongly disputed Salman’s assessment of his time on the show. According to Imam, his actions during Bigg Boss 6 were never driven by an intention to harass or deliberately trouble fellow contestants. He maintained that his stint was centred around entertainment, tasks and his performance on the reality show.
Addressing Salman directly, Imam wrote, “On your recent Bigg Boss #BB20, on @COLORSTV @Jio @JioStar @JioHotstar @JioHotstarReality Weekend Ka Vaar episode, dated Saturday 3rd of October 2026, you mentioned my name on national television in a manner which I found extremely defamatory and factually incorrect. You stated that “Imam Siddique ne bhi yeh kiya tha…” – this attribution is false. I have never harassed any contestant with the intent to trouble them. My journey in Bigg Boss Season 6 was based on entertainment, tasks and performance. I completed my journey with dignity.”
Imam further explained that being cited as an example while discussing harassment could have an impact on the reputation he has built over several decades. He pointed out that the comment was made before a massive television audience without giving him an opportunity to present his side of the matter.
He added, “When my name is used as a negative example before crores of viewers, without me being present to defend myself, it causes serious damage to my reputation, my 44 years of work in advertising, broadcasting, corporate, design, education, events, entertainment, fashion, and my family’s honour. With utmost respect for you and the Bigg Boss platform, I humbly request a clarification and correction on the show, and that my name not be used in a defamatory context in future.”
While Imam has objected to the comparison, he maintained a respectful tone while addressing Salman. Referring to the actor as his elder brother in the industry, he expressed hope that his concern would be acknowledged and addressed.
“I have always respected you as an elder brother of the industry, and I continue to do so. I hope you will address this with the same fairness you show inside the house,” he added in his note.
Imam’s reaction comes years after his memorable stint on Bigg Boss 6, where his outspoken personality and dramatic moments made him one of the show’s most talked about contestants. His latest statement has now brought his name back into discussion in connection with Bigg Boss, this time after being referenced during a Weekend Ka Vaar episode of the ongoing season.
