Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 is set to conclude its journey on television. The show, which revived the much loved Virani family and brought back several familiar faces from the original series, is now nearing its final schedule. The development comes after months of viewers following the new chapter in Tulsi and the Virani family’s story.

As per the latest information, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 will officially wrap up its shoot on October 20. The cast and crew are expected to complete their final scenes on the day, following which the show will make way for the channel’s upcoming programming. The series is expected to air its final episodes in November.

The second season arrived on television with considerable anticipation, particularly because Smriti Irani returned as Tulsi Virani after several years. Amar Upadhyay also reprised his iconic role as Mihir Virani, while Hiten Tejwani returned as Karan. Their return was accompanied by a younger generation of actors who took forward the Virani family narrative.

The original Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi remains one of the most recognised shows in Indian television history. Created by Ekta Kapoor and produced by Balaji Telefilms, the original series premiered in 2000 and ran for several years. Tulsi and Mihir became household names during its original run, with the show becoming closely associated with the family drama genre on Hindi television.

The decision to bring the franchise back was announced nearly two decades after the original show ended. The second season premiered in July 2025 and attempted to combine the nostalgia surrounding the original characters with new storylines involving the younger members of the Virani family.

The show has also gone through its share of storyline changes during its run. Recent episodes have focused heavily on the developments surrounding Nandini, Karan and the aftermath of Parth’s death. The complicated equations within the family have continued to remain at the centre of the ongoing narrative.

Interestingly, reports about the show’s possible closure had surfaced earlier as well. At the time, the channel had dismissed speculation about the show being pulled off air and indicated that there was no immediate plan to end it. The latest development, however, suggests that the decision has now been finalised, with October 20 set as the reported final day of shooting.

With the show approaching its final schedule, it remains to be seen how the makers conclude the Virani family’s latest chapter and what the final episodes have in store for Tulsi, Mihir, Karan and the rest of the family.
