Qazi Touqeer’s team has hit back at Kanika Mann following the controversy surrounding his ‘lollipop’ remark in Bigg Boss 20. The team has accused Kanika of repeatedly targeting Qazi and has questioned the way incidents involving the actor have allegedly been portrayed inside the house.
The controversy began when Qazi made a ‘lollipop’ remark during a conversation with Kanika. The comment left Kanika uncomfortable, leading to a confrontation between the two. The matter was subsequently discussed during Weekend Ka Vaar, where Salman Khan addressed the context of Qazi’s remark. Qazi later attempted to explain that the comment was made innocently and had no inappropriate intention.

Qazi tried to explain his comment by referring to Hrithik Roshan’s character from Koi… Mil Gaya, while Kanika continued to object to the way he had used the word. Following the renewed controversy, Qazi’s team took to his Instagram Stories to issue a statement. The team defended Qazi’s intentions and also brought up another incident involving Kanika during a ball task. Their statement read:

Salman Khan sir clearly explained what ‘lollipop’ meant during Weekend Ka Vaar. Kanika herself understood the context and spoke to Qazi about it, acknowledging that she had taken it the wrong way.
Keeping that context in mind, Qazi used the word innocently, in a playful manner. But sadly, innocence gets twisted when people choose to see negativity where there isn’t any.
And yes… that desperation of ‘kahin toh nazar aa jaaun show mein.’ Too.

It was Kanika herself who suggested Qazi this idea of doing push ups on the ball. Yet later, the same act was portrayed by her in a completely negative way.
