Mahhi Vij recently opened up about her career journey and the turning points that eventually led her towards television. Speaking to Kanika Mann in the Bigg Boss 20 house, the actress looked back at the early phase of her career, recalling how she landed opportunities in music videos before making her way into films.

Mahhi revealed that after arriving in Mumbai, she got the opportunity to feature in the popular music video Tu Tu Hai Wahi. Following the same, she went on to work in a couple of other music videos. The actress further recalled her stint in the South film industry, revealing that she worked in films alongside actors including Mammootty.

However, Mahhi went on to share a major setback that changed the course of her career. She revealed that she was signed by filmmaker Mani Ratnam for Yuva, which starred Vivek Oberoi among others. According to Mahhi, she was initially set to be a part of the film but was eventually replaced by Kareena Kapoor.

While discussing the incident with Kanika, Mahhi hinted that a disagreement on the sets played a role in her being replaced. The actress revealed that she had gotten into a ‘panga’ with someone during that phase of her career, following which things took an unexpected turn.

Mahhi further revealed that the experience made her reconsider her career path. After the setback, she decided to shift her focus towards television. Her decision eventually marked the beginning of her journey in the TV industry, where she went on to establish herself as a familiar face.

Mahhi’s revelation offered a glimpse into the lesser-known phase of her career and the setbacks she experienced before finding her footing on television. Her candid conversation with Kanika also highlighted how one professional setback eventually became a turning point in her career.
