Interestingly, Sairaab has already seen a major change at the centre of its story. Krishna Kaul was not the actor who originally played Ishaan. The character was first portrayed by Rohit Chandel when the series launched in June 2026. Madirakshi, who plays Noyonika, has remained part of the show since its beginning.
Rohit’s stint on the series came to an end after his arrest in connection with a POCSO case involving allegations related to a minor. His departure resulted in the makers replacing the lead rather than bringing the character to an end. The legal matter is currently ongoing, and the allegations against the actor remain subject to the judicial process.
Krishna was subsequently brought into the show as the new Ishaan. Known for his previous work in Kumkum Bhagya, the actor took over the part and continued the romantic storyline with Madirakshi. His arrival was a significant change for Sairaab, particularly because the audience had already been introduced to another actor in the same role.
The new casting, however, reportedly did not bring about the improvement the makers were looking for. Despite having Krishna at the forefront, the series is said to have faced difficulties in attracting a strong audience.
