Rida Tharana emerged as one of the winners of The Traitors 2 alongside Krystle D’Souza after a finale filled with twists, betrayals and intense competition. However, her victory has also sparked debate among viewers, with some questioning whether she deserved to take home the title. Amid the ongoing reactions on social media, Rida has now addressed how she wants audiences to view her journey on the reality show.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Rida shared a detailed note reflecting on her transformation throughout the game. She pointed out that her journey did not begin with her as a Traitor and that she had to adapt to a completely different role later in the show. Rida wrote, “one thing I hope people remember while watching my journey is that my game wasn’t just about how I played as a Traitor. I walked into this game as an Innocent. I thought like one, played like one, caught a Traitor and helped catch another. And then overnight, I became the very thing I had spent the entire game trying to find.”
Rida further admitted that stepping into the role of a Traitor was not easy for her. She acknowledged that she was scared and struggled with the emotional demands of the game. She wrote, “Was I the most fearless Traitor? Absolutely not. I was terrified. I struggled with lying. I cried. I questioned myself. There were moments where the game genuinely got the better of me emotionally! You got to see the ambitious, strategic side of me, but you also got to see a very raw and emotional side of me that I couldn’t hide even if I wanted to.”
The social media influencer also reflected on everything she went through before reaching the finale. Rida wrote, “And somewhere between being an Innocent and becoming a Traitor, making good decisions and bad ones, trusting people, betraying people, breaking down and still continuing to play… I made it to the end. You don’t have to think I was the greatest Traitor to ever play the game. But I hope when you look at my journey, you look at the whole thing. Because I don’t think my win belongs only to the Traitor I became. It belongs to the Innocent I was, the Traitor I had to become, and the person you saw through all of it..”
Rida’s statement comes at a time when discussions around her win continue online, with viewers sharing contrasting opinions about her gameplay. Through her note, she appears to have put the focus on the complete journey she experienced on The Traitors 2 rather than only her performance after becoming a Traitor.
