Actor Amal Sehrawat opened up about his special bond with his sister Ritu, sharing cherished childhood memories, the lessons she has taught him and how their relationship has evolved over the years. Speaking about the one thing his sister does that can instantly make his day better, Amal said, “My sister, Ritu, has this wonderful ability to make everything feel lighter. Even a simple conversation or her sense of humour can instantly lift my mood. Sometimes, you don’t need a solution, you just need your sibling around.”

Recalling some of their funniest and most unforgettable fights, Amal shared, “We’ve had our share of silly fights over the smallest things, but one thing I remember is how serious those arguments felt at the time and how quickly we would forget them. Looking back, those little fights have actually become some of our funniest memories.”

Talking about a quality in Ritu that he wishes he had himself, Amal said, “Her patience. She has a wonderful ability to stay calm, understand people and handle situations with maturity. I really admire that quality in her.”

Amal also reflected on how their bond has changed as they have grown older. He said, “When we were younger, our relationship was more about teasing, arguing and competing over silly things. As we’ve grown older, there’s a deeper understanding and respect. We may not always say it, but we know we’re there for each other whenever it really matters.”

Sharing one of his favourite Raksha Bandhan memories, Amal said, “One of my favourite memories is celebrating Raksha Bandhan together as a family, getting dressed up, exchanging gifts and enjoying a meal together. What makes those memories special is not the ritual itself, but having everyone together and celebrating the bond we’ve shared since childhood.”

For Amal, his sister has also taught him an important lesson about relationships. He shared, “She has taught me that relationships don’t always need constant words or explanations. Sometimes, simply being there for someone is enough. She has also reminded me to appreciate the little moments and not take the people closest to us for granted.”

Talking about his plans for this Raksha Bandhan, Amal said, “This Raksha Bandhan, the plan is simple, spend quality time with my sister and family, celebrate the occasion together, exchange gifts, eat some good food and create another memory. At the end of the day, it’s really about celebrating the bond more than anything else.”
