Anuradha Uphadhyay, who is currently seen in the music video Baarisha, is in full festive spirits. Though she is not sure of her schedule for Dussehra, she is happy that she will be celebrating it with her work family.
She said, “This year, I’ll most likely be on set, but I believe festivals are about the spirit, not just the location. Even if I’m working, I try to keep the festive energy alive with my team.”
“Sometimes I can take a day off, but most of the time we celebrate on set. If I get time, I’d love to be with family. But if work keeps me busy, then my film unit becomes my family for the day, and we celebrate together. Honestly, celebrating with co-stars feels like being with a second family,” she added.
But one ritual that she follows every year without a miss is taking out time to offer prayers. She added, “And also to remind myself of the message of Dussehra—the victory of good over evil. That’s something I never skip, no matter where I am.”
Anuradha enjoys watching Ravan Dahan too, as she mentioned that it brings back childhood memories. However, she added, “Once while shooting away from home, we couldn’t see Ravan Dahan live. Instead, we decorated the set and shared sweets, and it turned into one of the most memorable celebrations. Sometimes a quiet, peaceful celebration with close ones feels even more special.”
A favorite Dussehra feast? “I’m a big foodie, so I look forward to traditional sweets like jalebi and kheer. They make the festival complete for me,” Anuradha ended.
