The trailer of the much-awaited romantic comedy, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, has dropped, and the internet can’t stop dissecting every frame. Some are swooning over the sizzling chemistry, while others are raising eyebrows at the over-the-top moments. But love it or not, everyone’s talking about it.
The film, directed by Dasvi fame Tushar Jalota, promises to be a rollercoaster ride of romance, culture clashes, and laugh-out-loud chaos. The story revolves around a Delhi boy played by Sidharth Malhotra and a South Indian beauty as Janhvi Kapoor who meet, fall in love, and decide to tie the knot. Sounds simple? Well, not quite. The trailer teases everything from language barriers to quirky family feuds, making it a mix of Chennai Express-style madness with a modern-day rom-com twist.
Word in the industry is that Sidharth has really tapped into his charming Punjabi munda energy, while Janhvi’s traditional-yet-fiery Tamil girl act is winning praise, but also sparking whispers about some stereotypical portrayals. Insiders say certain cultural jokes might stir debate, but hey, controversy always sells tickets! The visuals scream big-budget Bollywood spectacle, colourful sets, extravagant wedding scenes, and plenty of dance numbers that are already trending on social media. The title track Param Sundari has fans predicting it could be the season’s wedding anthem, while a soulful romantic number teased in the trailer has already become a reel favourite.
If the trailer’s anything to go by, we can brace ourselves for high-voltage family drama, lots of playful banter, and a love story that swings between adorable and explosive. Tushar Jalota seems to have amped up the masala, and given Sidharth and Janhvi’s on-screen chemistry, this could be a rom-com worth the popcorn splurge.
