It’s official, Paresh Rawal is all set to return as Babu Bhaiya in the much-awaited Hera Pheri 3, and fans couldn’t be more thrilled. After weeks of buzz, rumors, and even legal drama, Rawal has cleared the air: there’s no bad blood, and yes, he’s back in the iconic role that made him a household name.

In a recent interview on The Himanshu Mehra Show, the veteran actor addressed the headlines around his sudden exit from the film and his so-called fallout with Akshay Kumar. Paresh clarified that the rumors were blown out of proportion. “Nothing happened,” he said plainly. “It was all resolved.” He further explained that his temporary departure from the film wasn’t due to any creative clash or personal feud—it was about doing justice to a franchise that means so much to the audience.

Interestingly, after stepping away from the project earlier this year, Rawal even returned his signing amount, reportedly around ₹11 lakh—along with interest, before eventually deciding to rejoin the cast. What changed? According to Paresh, the team needed to “fine-tune” the concept, and now that things are back on track, he’s fully on board.

He also addressed the much-discussed lawsuit, where Akshay Kumar’s production house Cape of Good Films reportedly sent a ₹25 crore legal notice over his exit. But instead of dwelling on the drama, Paresh Rawal kept it classy, reminding everyone that both he and Akshay have been friends for years. In fact, he stressed how crucial it is to handle beloved characters and stories with care. “You can’t take things for granted,” he said. “When something is so deeply loved, we must work even harder to meet expectations.”

And that’s exactly what the original trio, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal, aims to do. With Priyadarshan back in the director’s chair and production prep underway, Hera Pheri 3 is shaping up to be one of the biggest nostalgia-driven comebacks Bollywood has seen in years.

So yes, Babu Bhaiya is back, and this time, he’s coming with more madness, more memes, and hopefully, one unforgettable phir hera pheri!
