Padma Awards were announced yesterday. Some of the celebrities will be honored with Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan.
Padma Vibhushan is India’s second highest civilian honor whereas Padma Bhushan is India’s third highest civilian honor. All the celebrities have been honored with these prestigious awards for their contribution in the field of art.

Veteran actress Vyjayanthimala will be honored with this award. She made her debut in 1949 at the age of 16. She made her Bollywood debut in 1951. Her contribution towards Indian Cinema is unmatchable. She has left a solid mark in all the major film industries of India. Seh was honored with Padma Shri in 1968 and Padma Bhushan in 2011.
Chiranjeevi is one of the Biggest Superstars of South. His contribution towards Telugu Cinema is huge. He made his debut in 1978 and is still ruling the hearts of the people. He was honored with Padma Bhushan in 2006.

Usha Uthup is one of the finest playback singers of our country. Her voice is popular amongst every household. She has sung songs in many languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, etc. She was awarded Padma Shri in 2011.
Late actor Vijayakanth’s contribution towards Tamil Cinema is unparalleled. He has been a part of more than 150 films. He will be conferred with Padma Bhushan posthumously.
