2023 had been a very good year for Indian Films at the Box Office. We witnessed many big hits from different industries in 2023. 

For Bollywood it has been a very memorable year, as we witnessed 3 All Time Grossers in a single year. Bollywood has never delivered 3 All Time Grossers in a single year. 2023 inaugurated 400 cr, 450 cr, 500 cr and 550 cr clubs for Bollywood. 

Tamil Cinema also got two 600 cr films worldwide in the form of Leo and Jailer. 

Salaar also created havoc at the Box Office by collecting 500 cr worldwide and emerged as the highest grossing Telugu film of the year. 

Malayalam Cinema also witnessed an All Time Grosser in the form of 2018. The film ‘2018’ ruled the Malayalam Box Office and set a new benchmark.

1] Jawan 

With Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan became the only actor to deliver back to back 1000 cr films worldwide and 500 cr films in India. Jawan collected a mammoth 1160 cr gross worldwide. Jawan is the highest grossing Indian film of the year. Jawan inaugurated a 550 cr club for Bollywood. The film collected a huge 400 cr in foreign markets. Shah Rukh Khan ruled the year 2023 like a King. 

2] Pathaan 

With Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan not only made a comeback but also revived Bollywood Box Office. Pathaan opened 400 cr, 450 cr and 500 cr clubs for Bollywood. Pathaan became the highest grossing Bollywood film worldwide (1st Phase). Pathaa went on to collect 1150 crores gross at the Global Box Office in its lifetime. Out of 1150 cr, 400 cr came from overseas. 

3] Animal 

Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ became a nationwide sensation. The film is still going strong at the Box Office and is all set to enter the 900 cr club worldwide. Animal is the highest grossing ‘A’ rated Indian film of all time. Animal has collected approx 888 cr gross till date at the Global Box Office. The film collected around 240 cr gross in foreign markets and the remaining collection came from India. Animal became the only Bollywood film after Jawan to collect more than 50 crores from dubbed languages. 

4] Gadar 2 

Gadar is the only franchise in Bollywood whose both the parts have emerged as All Time Grossers. Despite facing a clash with OMG 2, Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 smashed each and every Box Office record and created history. Gadar 2 collected approx 525 cr nett in India and 691 cr gross at the Global Box Office. The top 4 highest grossing Indian films of the year at the Global Box Office belong to Bollywood. 

5] Jailer 

Superstar Rajinikanth delivered the biggest Tamil Hit of the year in the form of Jailer. Jailer collected approx 650 cr gross worldwide. Jailer collected around 350 cr nett in all languages at the Indian Box Office. Jailer is Superstar Rajini’s 2nd highest grossing film of all time. The film earned approx 200 cr gross in foreign markets. 

6] Leo 

Leo emerged as the highest grossing film for Thalapathy Vijay as well as Lokesh Kanagaraj by a huge margin. The film collected around 612 cr gross Worldwide, out of which 340 cr nett came from Indian Box Office. Just like Jailer, Leo also collected around 200 cr from Overseas.
